MW Macroalgae Extract™ is a scientifically formulated concentrate unique to Mwani Zanzibar. Every product created has undergone  rigorous clinical testing.

Our skincare is produced through intensive eco-friendly processes rarely found in the skincare industry. The methods of production that are best for skin often take more time and greater effort. Like the cold-press method we use for soaps. Did you know that each soap must cure for nine weeks before it is at its best?

We create extracts and concentrates from precise blends of indigenous African superfoods and unrefined oils. These nutrient-rich ingredients are all wild harvested locally . The short lead time between delivery and production means it is very common that our oils are only days old.

• 3% of our gross sales are donated to environmental conservation in Zanzibar.

Impact of our Packaging

• Our glass bottles are made of 100% post-consumer and recycled glass bottles – the first beauty company in the world to do so.
• Our outer packaging is made of 80% post-consumer and recycled outer packaging.
• Our logo is debossed in the glass, eliminating the need for silk screen printing or plastic labelling.
• Our bottles are coloured with a non-toxic chalk pigment to avoid penetration of UVA and UVB rays.
• We worked extensively with our glass supplier to thin our glass bottles, reducing carbon footprint.

Face & Body Skin Superfood
Apply in circular motions as the stimulating properties awaken body and spirit, boosted by an invigorating blend of pure essential oils. Due to the high concentration of ingredients, the Face & Body Skin Superfood absorbs gradually over time. It can be used anytime but is especially powerful after finishing a workout or before facing the day.

Facial Cleanser & Mask
Gently blend a small amount on face, neck, and décolletage. Enjoy the warm and tingling sensation as potent ingredients work to leave skin looking vibrant and renewed. Rinse immediately or leave on up to 15 minutes for a deep-conditioning mask.

Macroalgae and Lemongrass Soap
Gently massage into wet skin and luxuriate in the sweet citrus fragrance and natural exfoliation of seaweed. Exceptionally mild, this soap can be used on face and body.
