Formulation Process
As trained product artisans, the Mwani Zanzibar Mamas create each batch of MW Macroalgae Extract™. They start by drying seaweed harvests under controlled atmospheric conditions, to preserve bioactivity. Then, they macerate the seaweed by hand at sub-zero temperatures, followed by 24-hours of agitation. The resulting solution is triple-filtered and evaporated to create a highly concentrated extract that is infused into each small crafted batch of our product skincare formulations.
